Obituary

Naomi Lois Lehmann of Webster, Texas, formally of Williston, Ohio went to be with Jesus on June 24, 2010 at Spanish Meadows Nursing Facility, Houston, Texas following a seven month illness. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 11, 1934, the younger of two children. She graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1952. In 1954 she married John Edwin Lehmann and lived in Williston, Ohio. After John went to heaven in 2005, she resided in Webster, Texas near her daughter but returned to Williston, Ohio each summer. Naomi loved the Lord and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, Ohio and attended The Terrace Chapel in Houston. She was a charter member of Allenettes -- the Ladies Auxiliary of Allen Township Volunteer Firemen's Association -- and served for thirty years in various offices alongside her husband who was a Volunteer Firefighter. She was a former president of Cooley Canal Yacht Club Auxiliary where John was a past Commodore. Naomi worked for over twenty years as an Administrative Manager for three area companies until she was elected Allen Township Clerk in 1983. She served in that office until she retired in 1994. Interior decorating and landscape design were what she enjoyed most, along with spending time with family and friends in Ohio and Texas. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mabel (Wolf) Anderson of Graytown, Ohio, and her husband of fifty years, John Lehmann. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Robert) LaRey of Houston, Texas, and her grandchildren, Jennifer Lois LaRey of Houston, Texas and Jessica (Joe) Gastler of Waco, Texas. She is also survived by her sister, Anabel Diefenthaler of Martin, Ohio and a nephew, Gary Diefenthaler of Graytown, Ohio. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Monday, July 12, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. with Cooley Canal Auxiliary International Satin Gavel Services at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, Ohio on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Allen Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Naomi's memory are asked to consider St. John Lutheran Church Activity Center, Williston, or the charity of the donor's choice. Your loving daughter, family and many friends will greatly miss you. Naomi, you are in heaven now with your husband and until we meet again, we will all have wonderful memories.
