Naomi C. Liebnau, 82, passed away November 27, 2003 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 7, 1921 to George and Marie (Schot) Koeniger. Naomi was married 44 years to Robert Paul Liebnau, who passed away in 1983. She never worked outside of the home and was a meticulous housekeeper. At one time Naomi owned and operated a pet shop in her garage, where she bred and raised birds. She had a wonderful talent of playing the piano and accordion. She brought much fun and laughter during the holidays and family get-togethers with her music. When entering Naomi's home everyone was always made welcome and you never left her home unless you were fed a meal. There was always plenty of hot dog's and hamburgers to go around. On Sundays, for many years, she enjoyed playing pinnacle with her mother and her two aunts, Ruth Lathem and Eva Tarply
Surviving are her children, Robert (Tamie) Liebnau, Karen (John) Reitz, Gary (Merle) Liebnau; sister, Carol (Lenny) Kane; brother, Carl (Alice) Koeniger; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert P. Liebnau
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 am until time of services at 11:00 am Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions in Naomi's memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
