Naomi L. Wooddell, 88, of Pemberville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Otterbein Portage Valley, Pemberville, Ohio. She was born in Blanchard Township, Ohio on December 9, 1919, to Elfen and Luella (Marks) Zuercher. Naomi was a homemaker and devoted wife and widow to Charles R. Wooddell, her husband of 54 years. She was a woman of great faith and served as Sunday School teacher and on many committees during her earlier years at Christ United Methodist Church and Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Main St. United Brethren Church, Walbridge, Ohio and regularly attended services at Otterbein Portage Valley. Naomi is survived by her loving children, Ralph Wooddell and Sarah (Dan) Buehrer; sister, Ruth McCune of Murphy, North Carolina; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, David, and brother, Lawrence Zuercher. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Otterbein Portage Valley, 20311 Pemberville Road, Pemberville, Ohio 43450.
