Nathaniel Lee Downey, 1, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. Nathaniel was born in Oregon, Ohio on June 10, 2016 to Sheila Amerson and Nicholas Downey. Nathaniel loved to dance, always had a big smile and was a very happy baby. Nathaniel is survived by his mother, Sheila; father, Nicholas; brothers, Kristopher Vasquez Jr. and Nicholas Allen Downey II; grandparents, Richard (Carol) Amerson, Tammy Eloff, Frank (Cindy) Downey; great grandmother, Debbie Downey; great-great grandmother, Joyce Downey; and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, James (Roberta) Martin, Frank (Roberta) Oniske and Thornton "Frank" Downey Jr.; great-great grandfather, Thornton Downey Sr.; and great aunt, Sharon Martin. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
