Nelle A. Willis, 97, of Oregon, Ohio passed away March 30, 2009 in her home. She was born in Waynesboro, TN on March 2, 1912 to Charlie C. and Isadora M. (Chauncey) Scott. Nelle was a 1936 graduate of the Toledo State Hospital School of Nursing. She was then employed as a registered nurse at Toledo Registry for 29 years, retiring in 1974. Nelle was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are her daughter, Donnae "Jeanie" Willis; son, Donald Willis; brother, Norman (Kathryn) Scott; several nieces and nephews. Nelle was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Ralph Willis; brothers, Carnie, George and Hubert; sisters, Mary and Grace. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
