Nello Tudico Jr., 82, of Northwood, Ohio passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Promedica Bay Park Hospital. Nello was born on September 24, 1939, at home in Walbridge, Ohio to Nello Sr. and Janet (Mortel) Tudico. Nello had worked 45 years at Brown Pontiac as an ASA Certified Auto Mechanic and also worked part-time for 39 years as the mechanic for the City of Northwood Police Department, maintaining all the police vehicles. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church where he attended with his family.
In his spare time, Nello loved traveling to Florida and attending his grandchildren's activities and sporting events whenever he could. Nello enjoyed bowling, fishing, rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball teams, watching Cleveland Indians baseball and the Browns, watching auto racing, and was an avid lover of cars, including a collection of Pontiac Fieros.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Judith; daughters, Laurie (Brian) Heestand, Lisa (Gary) Row; Tricia (Dave) Ostrander; grandchildren, Jessica Heestand, Alanna (Caleb) Vespi, Matthew (Haylee) Row, Sarah Row (Matt Williams), Zachary Row, Brodi and Bryce Ostrander; great-grandson, Nolan Vespi; sister, Linda Tudico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nello Sr. & Janet Tudico.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Wednesday from 2- 8 pm and where his funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Nello's memory are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
