Nicholas J. Cici, 78, of Northwood, OH passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 7, 1938 to Louis and Antoinette (Albachiara) Cici. Nicholas was an U.S. Army veteran and attended St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Millbury, Ohio. He was employed with Walbridge Coatings for 25 years retiring in 2005 and volunteered for 12 years at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. He as a loyal Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed playing golf and found great joy watching his grandson's play various sports and perform in the band. Nick was devoted to, and loved his family fiercely.
Surviving are his wife, Rhea K.; sons, Nicholas "Tony" (Chrissy) and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob and Micah; brother, Louis (Barbara) Cici. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis C. and step-mother, Ines. Nick's final days on earth were spent making sure his family knew how much he loved them all. "We will miss you Papa Nick!"
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's UCC, 28505 Main St. Millbury, Ohio with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. Peter's United Church of Christ or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
