Nicholas "Nick" Edward Jeko
Nicholas Jeko , 82, of Toledo, OH passed away Sunday, March 30, 2003 at Genoa Care Center. He was born in
Toledo on February 11, 1921 to the late Peter and Rose (Renard) Jeko. Nick retired from Libbey-Owens- Ford
after 29 years of service in 1974. H e was a veteran of the US Army during WWII serving throughout France and
Germany and was awarded several medals of courage including a Purple Heart, Bronze Stars Victory Medal and
Good Conduct Medal.
Nick is survived by his daughter, Suzanne (Thomas) Corcoran of Oregon,,OH and her mother, Ruth Jeko of
Walbridge, OH; step-daughter, Barbara Jeanne Pickering of Woodville, OH; brother, Joe (Helen) Jeko; sister,
Josephine Shock; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard and Willard Jeko and step-daughter, Judith Manion.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, April 2, 2003 from 2 until 9 pm where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions in Nicholas honor may be made to Heartland Home Health Hospice.
