Nina A. Parsons, 85, of Northwood , Ohio passed away May 22, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Rocksdale, W. Virginia on September 16, 1927 to Homer and Bithie (Carpenter) Roberts. Nina retired in 1975 from Burndy Corp., where she had been employed for 17 years. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church , enjoyed crocheting, making dolls and cooking. She was a devoted housewife, loving mother and grandmother and her family especially enjoyed her country cooking and her never-ending stories. Surviving are her sons, Harry Dewayne (Karla) Parsons of Walbridge, OH, and Thomas (Debbie) Parsons of Temperance MI; daughter Shirley (Tarpy) Parsons of Toledo OH, daughter-in-law Harriet Parsons of Dundee MI, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters and 2 brothers Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 2006; parents; son, Michael Parsons and grandchildren Jeremy and Nicole Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy in Nina'™s memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
