Nora Bender, 61, was called to heaven on August 10, 2015 at her Walbridge residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Tazewell, Tennessee on April 14, 1954 to Earnest Duncan and Ruby Robertson. Nora worked as a dialysis technician with Omni Source for 20 years She was a member of the Associates of the Sisters of Notre Dame, enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren, who called her "Nonnie" and "Mimi". Nora is survived by her daughters, Stephanie M. (William) Hoefflin and Stacy A. (Christopher Fetter) Bender; grandchildren, Gavin, T.J., Jonathan, Alyssa and Sadie; siblings, Vergie Snyder, Linda Duncan Whaley, Penny Duncan, Jimmie, Eddie , George and Donny Cremeens. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Dora Parks; siblings, Inez Duncan McMillian, James, Earnest Jr., Mossie and Eula Duncan and former husband, Timothy Bender. Friends may visit at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm.
