Norma Jean Kitchen, 65, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in her
residence. Norma was born in Oregon on October 13, 1938. She was a graduate of Clay High School. Norma
had worked for St. Charles Hospital when it first opened, working there for 25 years until her retirement. She
loved to go on gambling trips to Detroit. She would also spend days playing cards and visiting her friends at the
Senior Citizens Center. Norma had a child like love of games and spending time with her friends as well as
spending hours on her computer. Norma was preceded in death this past October by her best friend and mother,
Lillian Self, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Nurfher, nieces Connie Lynn Ireland and
Kristine Marie Tippin.
Norma is survived by her husband, Murray; sister Eileen Tippin; nephew, Ron Ireland; niece, Sandy Tippin and
great niece, Alisa Tippin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 from 9:00am until time of services at 12 Noon at the
Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Interment will follow
in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Norma's memory are
