Norman E. Schultz Sr., 77, of Oregon, OH went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, OH on January 7, 1931, to Stanley and Helen (Hageman) Schultz. He was employed with First National Bank for 27 years and worked in the collection department at Exchange Bank for 12 years retiring in 1997. Norman served in the Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Oregon First Church of the Nazarene serving as Sunday school teacher, treasurer, choir director, superintendant and church board member. Surviving are son, Dr. Norman E. (Michelle) Schultz Jr.; daughter, Joy Lynn (John) McQueary; grandchildren, Beau, Cody, Jonathan, Chelsea, Morgan and Sydney; brother, Howard Schultz; sister, Ruth Flemming and loving companion, Barb Hymore. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Schultz and wife, Joyce Tilton. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd. at Starr Ave. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Ashland Church, 2350 Starr Ave., Oregon, OH at 11 a.m. on Wednesday where the family will greet visitors after 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Toledo Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hope Community Church.
