Olladean Elizabeth (Bender) Stewart, 89, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 15, 1928 to Walter and Audra (Henderson) Bender. Olladean was one of five siblings raised in Wiley Ford, West Virginia. While working and living in Cumberland, Maryland, she met and married Joseph C. Stewart on August 23, 1947. Relocating to Ohio, Olladean was blessed with three children; One son and two daughters, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Olladean first worked at Frost Top restaurant and later went to K-Mart Department Store, where she retired from in 1990.
Olladean enjoyed baking, embroidery, gardening and dancing. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing in West Virginia and California.
Olladean is survived by her children, David Stewart, of Colorado and Lisa (Lonnie) of Michigan; grandchildren, Kevin (Lisa) Sullivan, Selina Sullivan, Jason Nutter, Shannon (Michael) Smolenski and Chad Stewart; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Roger (Wilma) Bender; and sister, Irma Curtis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Marla; sister, Ina; brother, Harold Bender and grandchild Theresa.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 3, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
