Opal M. Price Galvin, 91, of Oregon, Ohio passed away October 12, 2012 at Orchard Villa. She was born in Pliny, WV on January 18, 1921 to Russell and Mary Ann (Wears) Erwin. Opal was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ where she served of the church consistory for many years. Surviving are her children, Karen, Dennis, Jeff, and Tim Price; sisters, JoAnn (Roy) Hayes, Mary Lou (Richard) Furrer, Wanda (Ralph) Bassler and Bernice (Al) Cardonick; brother, Eugene Erwin and 4 grandchildren. Opal was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wayne Price; second husband, Robert Galvin; sister, Catherine Grater; infant daughter, Linda Ann and son, David. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday from 10 until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home following visitation on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery.
