Obituary

Opal M. Wagoner, 91, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on February 8, 2012. She was born on October 18, 1920 in Walbridge, Ohio to Earl and Emma Wagoner. Opal worked at the office of Bostwick-Braun for 24 years and at St. Charles Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 17 years. She lived in East Toledo, Oregon, Northwood and at Otterbein Portage Valley since 1999. Opal was a member of the former Euclid United Methodist Church (now Unity United Methodist Church) for over 60 years. She was an active member in the United Methodist Women'™s Altar Guild, a teacher and a volunteer with Helping Hands. Opal is survived by her sister; Marie Sellman; sister-in-law, Dotty Wagoner; nieces and nephews, John and Harvey Mikesell, Sharon Sellman-Haggy, Gary Sellman, Frank Wagoner, Ann Nicar, Dawn Nagy, and David Wagoner. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Herbert; sisters, Dorothy Wagoner, Betty Winnette and Georgia Wagoner. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
