Orlen Oberhaus, 88, of Martin, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008, in Heartland of Oregon. Orlen was born in Henry County, Ohio on October 6, 1920, to Frederick and Sarah Oberhaus. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Oberhaus was employed as a punch press operator for Progressive Industries before his retirement in 1999. Prior to working for Progressive he had been employed by the Auto-Lite, Overmyer Warehouse and the US Postal Service. Surviving are his loving wife, Veneta; sons, Lyle (Paulette) and Larry (Patti) Oberhaus; daughter, Rita (Neal) Carter; grandchildren, Heidi and Katie Oberhaus; brother-in-law, Howard Mitchell; sister-in-law, Lorena Oberhaus and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road Millbury. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark Lutheran Church, Woodville and Elmore Streets. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Orlen's memory can be made to either St. Mark Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
