Ortha Mae Merrill, 89, of Genoa, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Genoa Care Center. She was born on April 8, 1920 in Lime City, Ohio to Glen and Julia (Nixon) Huston. Ortha worked as the manager of Fairlane Motel for 20 years retiring in 1986. She is survived by her son, Richard Merrill of Oregon, Ohio; brother, Clyde Huston of Blue Grass, Iowa; granddaughter, Shannon (Steven) Maltos of Beauford, GA and great grandchildren, Emma and Lisa Maltos. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 4 until 8 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Ortha's name may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
