Patricia A. Amburn, 81, of Oregon, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on October 4, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Roman and Mary (Phitzer) Hummer Sr. Patricia served her country in the US Army during the Korean War. On May 18, 1963, she married Robert Amburn Sr. Patricia was employed with the Lion Store for 12 years, retiring in 1992 and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the Oregon Senior Center.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Robert Jr. (Tammy) and Todd; grandchildren, Monique Bais, Terrance, Tiffany, and Christopher Schlegal, Hunter, Jacob, and Riley Amburn; sister, Jeanette (Chris) Christman; sister-in-law, Ruth Hummer. Also survived by many loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters; Sylvester, Beatrice, Veronica, Henry, Robert, Richard, Roman, and Kate.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Greenville Township Memorials Gardens. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer'™s Association. The family wishes to thank the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their exceptional care.
