Patricia L. (Makin) Cole, 72, of East Toledo, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on April 24, 1932, to Earl Van and Vera (Schrack) Makin. Pat was a Central High School graduate. On October 6, 1951, she married Dell R. Cole who survives. Pat was a food service manager for Toledo Public Schools for 19 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Surviving is her loving husband of 53 years, Dell. Pat is also survived by her children, Mike (LuAnn) Cole, Sandi (Ken) Henzler, Jeff (Bettyann) Cole, Kim Cole, Kathy (Doug) Leidy , Peggy (Greg) Noftz, Chris (Russell) Elkins; brother, Kenneth Makin; sisters, Lois Gould, Rita Rady, LouJean Roullier, Joyce Dibling, Helen Teft; 15 grandchildren and 1 1/2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and her best friend, Nancy Kimritz. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Earl Makin, Vera Parton, Sr. Mary Aquinas, Robert Makin, and James Makin. Pat had an extraordinary love of life that she shared with her family and many friends. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. where Scripture services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Pat's memory are asked to consider St. Ignatius Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
