Patricia R. Laston-Hickman, 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully, as a result of Alzheimer'™s disease, August 9, 2012, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 26, 1929 to Norman and Ruth (Shutt) Loeffler Sr. In her younger years, Patricia was employed in the Classified Department at the Toledo Blade. She retired from ES Wagner Company after 25 years, where she was employed as a bookkeeper. Patricia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a member and bingo worker at the Arthur Daly Post 2510. Patricia loved to gamble. Surviving are her children, Debra (Paul) Belegrin, Beth Anne (Kristin Marunde) Laston, Michelle (Jerry) Cowell and Kathleen (Rob) Keel; daughter-in-law, Melanie Hickman; step-children, Connie Jo (Eddie) Hussell, Dennis (Karen) Laston and Bonnie (Jim) Kennedy; grandchildren, Robert, Kristine, Jeffery, Andrew, Thomas, Taylor, Beccah, Joshua and Noah; step-grandchildren, Kari, Kyle, Chad, and Brian; 9 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Norman (Barbara) Loeffler Jr., Lynette Regan and Carolyn (Ron) Sopher. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Brady Hickman; second husband, Leo Laston; son, Christopher Hickman, and aunt, Leona Miner. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, August 12th from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery.
