Paul G. Edler Sr., 88, of Toledo, OH passed away on December 22, 2011 at heartland of Oregon. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 11, 1923 to Edwin and Oleva (Luebben) Edler. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years retiring in 1984. Paul was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church where he was past president of church council. He was also involved with the East Toledo Jr. Football League and officiated basketball, baseball and softball games.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Helen A.; daughters, Helen A. (Larry) Gross, Carol A. (Jeff) Bobak, Patricia A. (Ken) Gipe and Terri A. Edler; son, Paul G. (Kris) Jr.; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd. on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2- 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Martin Luther Lutheran Church 601 Nevada St. Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday at 11 am.
