Obituary

Paul N. Hille, 66, of Oregon, Ohio passed into Eternity Sunday, March 1, 2015, after battling cancer for over 12 years. He was born in Fremont, Ohio to Earl A. and Vera Mae (Schaaf) Hille April 19, 1948. Paul graduated from Harris-Elmore High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and proudly served his country as a tank commander in Vietnam. Upon discharge from the Army, he tried his skill at many different jobs and finally found his passion in District Sales for CGI Silvercote, now Guardian Building Products. He was dedicated and hard working which lead to a highly successful career, spanning over 20 years until his retirement in 2013. Paul knew no strangers and his rank as top salesman for over 10 years proved it! Paul's greatest passion was traveling overseas for mission work; building churches and installing roofs. A member of First Alliance Church, Toledo, OH, he was active in several positions, the latest of which was an Elder for the church. Before he began traveling overseas, he recognized the need for missionaries coming back to the States for Home Assignment to have a car for transportation for their short time here. Thus, AMPAC (Alliance Men Providing a Car) was begun. Many thanks go to Ferrall Frazier, Perrysburg who was a huge help in keeping, among other things, the finances straight. Paul served as President of the Great Lakes Alliance Men for many years, showing his deep desire for men to serve the Lord. He was also involved in Gideons International. Paul is survived by his wife, Kathi, of 43 years. Together they raised two daughters, Janelle (Tristam) Aldridge and Sara (Drew) Popejoy; grandchildren, Bryce and Levi Aldridge and Shelby, Summer and AJ Popejoy; mother, Vera Mae Hille; brothers, Gordon Hille and David (Mikie) Hille. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Earl A. Hille. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
