Paul R. Kozina, 82, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at Orchard Villa. He was born in Rossford, Ohio on May 3, 1927 to Steven and Maria (Slezak) Kozina. Paul served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver, driving for various truck lines through the years and lastly retiring from M & M restaurant in 1992. Paul was a member of the Teamsters Local #20, life member of the VFW Maumee Valley Post #2510, the American Legion Christ Dunberger Post #537, past member of LST Association (National and Ohio), and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Paul was also served as a volunteer fireman for both the Clay Center and Woodville Volunteer Fire Departments. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and was an avid Storm hockey fan. But, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Beverly J. (Weirich) Kozina; sons, David (Karen), Mark (Vicky), Raymond (Shelly) Kozina, Paul Millinger and Jason (Danielle) Brown; daughters, Sandy Zunk, Aeleen (Matthew) Heilman, Esther Kozina, Abbie (Chad) Koorndyk and Jennifer Pinski; 18 grandchildren; brother, Charles Kozina. Preceding Paul in death were his parents, brothers, Steve, Frank, Pete, Joe, John, Richard and Robert Kozina. Family and friends may visit Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Restlawn Memorial Park. Contributions in Paul's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
