Paul S. Rudess, 71, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and caring family on Thursday, August 6, 2009. He was retired from LOF working at both the East Broadway and Rossford plants for 30 years. He attended Good Shepherd Catholic grade school and Macomber High School, graduating in 1956. Paul was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1966. Paul was a Toledo native who had a love for hunting and fishing. Paul was a life member of the NRA, Adams Conservation Gun Club, Cooley Canal Yacht Club and VFW Post 2984. He is survived by his brother, Robert (Sharon) Rudess Sr.; nephews, Robert Jr. (Yolanda), Anthony (Barb) Rudess; nieces, Michelle Rudess-Dodd and Melissa Rudess; sister, Sharon A. (Kenneth Sr.) CaHow; nephews, Kenneth Jr. (Sharon), Patrick (Heather) CaHow; also 9 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Catherine Rudess and his nephew, Michael Rudess. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, August 9, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The family will also greet visitors at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 550 Clark St., Toledo, on Monday, August 10th beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Allen Township Cemetery.
