Paul R. Sampsell 83, of Genoa, Ohio, formerly of Elmore, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013. Paul was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 16, 1930 to Arthur and Dessie (Smith) Sampsell. Paul was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. On April 11, 1959, he married Marie Perney. Paul retired from Colgan Electric Company in 1992 and was a member of IBEW Local 8 for 60 years. He enjoyed woodworking, mowing his lawn, genealogy, and traveling. Paul is survived by his children, David (Elena) Hill, Carol Wachtell, Michelle (David) Welling, and Peggy(Bob) Rentz; grandchildren, Nikki, Stephen, Joshua, Zach, Ariel, Nicholas, Joseph, and Ross; and great-granddaughter, Carmen. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; and brothers, Roscoe and Robert Sampsell.
