Paul Watson, 83 of Oregon, OH passed away on Friday, May 13, 2005 in Toledo Hospital. Mr. Watson was born in Dickson, TN on May 12, 1922 to Elmer and Iris (Lindley) Watson. At the age of 17 Paul began his service as a minister for the Church of Christ and had served over 60 years at congregations in Ohio, Michigan and California. He taught history and English at Rochester College in Rochester, MI were he served as a professor for 3 years. Paul also served as a church missionary in Israel for 4 1/2 years. Paul recently retired from Echo Meadows Church of Christ were he served for 38 years. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Ruth; sons, Richard (Karen), Kevin (Laura), and Terry (Debbie) Watson; grandchildren, Ryan, Jonathan, Jainine, Michelle, Tyler, Richard, David, Samuel and Justin; great grandchildren, Christopher and Jake. He was preceded in death by his brother, J.C. Watson and sister, Claramay Cecil. Friends and family may visit at the Echo Meadows Church of Christ 2905 Starr Avenue where visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm on Monday. Following visitation funeral services will be conducted in the auditorium beginning at 7:00 pm. Interment and committal services will be held in Harris Elmore Cemetery on Tuesday at 11:00 am. The family suggest memorial contributions in Paul's honor be made to Echo Meadows Church of Christ. Arrangement are being handled by the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home.
