Paul C. Weng Sr., 81, of Toledo, OH passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born in Gibsonburg, OH on June 8, 1925, to Edward and Bertha (Heinemann) Weng. Mr. Weng was a US Army veteran serving during WWII. Paul was employed as a mechanic for the Ray Molder Carriers for 35 years. After retiring he remained busy as an all around handyman. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Northwood VFW Post 2984, Gibsonburg American Legion Post 17 and the Fremont Moose Lodge #1286.
Surviving are his loving wife, Helen; children, Robert (Helen), Paul Jr., Nora Weng, Wendy (Arthur) Bubb, Ray (Schelly), John ( Rita ) and Lee ( Jennifer); stepchildren, Jimi Allen, Linda (Wayne) VanSickle, Ed Bubb, Caroline (Chuck) Wells, Amy (Byron) DeLong, Marty (Terina) Bubb; sister, Esther Leemaster and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Catherine Hineline.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd. where visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm with a 7:30 p.m. VFW service. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Paul's memory are asked to consider the Veterans Administration.
