Paul P. Zam Jr., 60, of east Toledo passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Toledo on October 16, 1946 to Paul Sr. and Lola (Kovesdi) Zam. Paul was a mixologist working for The Toledo Country Club and the Toledo Club. He also had worked Burns Int. Security. In his spare time he enjoyed umpiring for many years, as well as playing softball and golf. Paul also enjoyed bowling at his father's bowling alley the Playdium in east Toledo.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Freda; sons, Michael, Randy (Karen), Chris, Paul III; brother, Joseph (Darcy); sisters, Barb (Jim) Sanford, Pauline (Richard) Demko), Pat Hornyak, Yolanda (Ken) Irwin; 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. and where the recitation of the rosary will be at 4:00 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral on Wednesday at 9:30 and proceed to St. Stephen's Catholic Church for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Paul's memory are asked to consider his family. Paul's family wishes to thank Jill, Connie, Holly, Mary, Eva and Jackie from Hospice Caring Services for the love and care they provided to Paul and his family during his illness.
