Pauline N. (nee Masters) Bain, of Toledo, Ohio, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on March 22, 1921, to Clair and Mildred (Giffin) Masters. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, George E. Bain in 1998, also on President's day. She was a cosmetologist for many years and owned and operated the Parisian Wave in East Toledo until her retirement in 1982. Pauline was a dedicated Christian woman and very involved with church and family. She loved to cook and please everyone that walked into her home, especially with her famous milkshakes and fried chicken. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Sandra Betkey; son, William "Bill" Bain; grandchildren, Ryan (Patches) Bain, Adam (Jodi) Bain and Ashley (Darron) Swiderski; great-grandchildren, Majesta Bain, Dinae Millen, Maria Bain, Sidney Swiderski, Braydi Swiderski and Jorja Bain and great-great-grandson, Jason Pecina; brother, Dan (Lois) Masters and sister, Shirley Masters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; sisters, Zelda, Orpha, and Bernice; brothers, Ray, Bill and Donald Masters. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Wednesday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Northwood Church of God with interment following in Restlawn Memorial Park.
