Pauline "Jane" Meek, 68, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 21, 2005, at Otterbein Portage Valley. She was born in London, England on November 14, 1936. Jane was a very devoted and loving mother, friend and nana, who was loved and cherished by all that knew her. Jane's zest for life and family was admirable and her sense of humor was contagious. She worked in housekeeping for 10 years at St. Charles Hospital retiring in 1996.
Surviving Jane is her best friend, Judy Goss; children, Sandy (Harold) Smith of McKinney, Texas, Denise (Kerby) Kaminski of Perrysburg, Ohio, Lorraine (Larry) Glaser of Pueblo West, Colorado, Wayne (Karen) Meek of Rossford, Ohio, Sonia (David) Godfrey of Titusville, Florida; former husband, Tommy D. Meek; brothers and sisters, Malcom (Veronica) Beetson, England, Jill (Ron) Kaufman, Florida, Nicki (Dennis) Deacon, England, Maxeen Patterson, Arkansas, Gregory (Ann) Beetson, England, Lauren Botterill, England. She also is survived by 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Albert Beetson.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005, at 7 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH. Expressions of sympathy in Jane's name may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
