Obituary

Pearl E. Molnar (Hollo), 92, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2008. She was born November 14, 1916 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph Hollo, Sr. and Elizabeth (Szenci) Hollo. Pearl attended St. Stephen School, Toledo, and Holy Cross Elementary School in Detroit. She graduated from Waite High School in 1934. She was a member of St. Stephen Church and its Rosary and Altar Society and the Catholic War Vets Ladies' Auxiliary. She worked at AAA for 21 years, first as a file clerk, working her way up to Travel Agent and Tour Guide until she retired in 1996. During her travels, she visited all 50 states. She enjoyed traveling but some of her favorite activities were Hungarian Embroidery, baking Hungarian pastries, and working crossword puzzles. Her favorite times were sitting at the dinner table with her great grandchildren as they talked and laughed together. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bert Molnar, son, Bert Molnar, Jr., and brothers, Stephen Hollo and Joseph Hollo, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Robert) Toth of Toledo, sons, James (Joan) Molnar of Shoreview, MN, Gerald (Kate) Molnar, of Mendham, NJ; also survived by grandchildren, Robert K. (Renee) Toth of Parker, CO, Laura Toth (Harry) Kaiser of Falls Church, VA, Pamela M. Toth of Oregon, OH, Gregory J. (Stacey) Molnar, of IGH, MN, Kathy Molnar Wolf of Somerset, WI, David Molnar of Olympia, WA, Michael (Kelly) Molnar, Tinton Falls, NJ, and Caroline Molnar, Mendham, NJ. Ten great-grandchildren, Veronica & Marilynn Toth, Allyson & Danielle Tscherne, Sam & Elaina Kaiser, Connor & Mackenzie Molnar, Logan & Emilee Wolf and her first great great grandchild, Cooper Adam Toth born April 8, 2009 also survive Pearl. Also surviving are her brother-in-law, Elmer (Virginia) Molnar, sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hollo and Grace Molnar, many nieces and nephews and her dearest friend, Barbara Kolibar. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Kinsey Funeral Home, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo Ohio from 2:00 - 9:00 pm. The Rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm. Services will be st 10:00 am Thursday, April 16, 2009 at St. Stephens Catholic Church, 2018 Consaul Street, Toledo, Ohio 43605. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to send special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers at Hospice especially, Brenda, Thelma, Debbie, Rachel and Carol. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Stephen's Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
