Pete Peacemaker, 84, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Pete was born in Clark County, Virginia on June 17, 1932 to Martin and Letha Peacemaker. Pete was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Conrail for over 20 years as a conductor and switch operator. Pete later owned the Village Pub in Millbury and worked as a bartender at Cresceus Tavern for 25 years. Pete enjoyed gardening and was a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Pete is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cathy; children, Judy Peacemaker, Cathy (Steve) O'Den, Marty (Kari) Peacemaker, Jayme (Eric) Sparks, Kenney Peacemaker, and Larry (Laura) Starkey; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Kay (Pat) Walsh; sister-in-law, Marcella Hughes; and dogs, TJ & Buffy. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary Ann Peacemaker.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
