Peter M. Callas, 80, passed away on October 8, 2015 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg. Peter was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 4, 1935 to John and Jane (O'Halloran) Callas. Peter worked in Marketing for Sysco for 16 years before retiring in 2001. He also worked for Hilton Hotels and Cobo Hall in Detroit as an Executive Chef for 20 years and taught at Wayne County Community College. Peter was a Marine Corp. Veteran, and a member of the Marine Corp. League, American Legion #888 and Amvets. He also attended Lakewood Church of the Bretheren and Saint John XXIII in Perrysburg. Peter is survived by his children, Kevin (Cindy) Callas, Beth Marie (Donald) Taylor and Allen (Diane) Harrah; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Callas; parents; sisters, Patricia Peters and Martha Briem; and great grandson, Austin. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. (east of I-280) on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private at Lake Township Cemetery.
