Philip D. Heinrich, 73, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, July 12, 2022. David was born in Toledo, Ohio January 12, 1949 to Philip E. and Ruth O. (Buckmaster) Heinrich. In 1967, David graduated from Macomber High School and worked 40 years with Penn Central and CSX Railroads, retiring as a controller in 2009. He was a member of Rossford Eagles, enjoyed camping, boating, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Detroit Tigers. David is survived by his sister, Susan Heinrich; longtime caregiver, Sandra Charles; along with great nieces Jessica & Dana; 1 great-great niece & 4 great-great-nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Heinrich; nieces, Tamara Miracle and Pam Ward; and love of his life, Bonnie Cranker.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 10:30 am until funeral service at 1:30 pm. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
