Phillip W. Dominique, 93, passed away on December 8, 2009 at Parkcliffe at Northwood. He was born on September 18, 1916 to John and Alice (Miller) Dominique. Phillip was a World War II Army Veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked at Libbey Owens Ford until his retirement. Phillip had a love for birds, enjoyed carving wood, and gardening. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Disabled American Veterans.
Phillip is survived by his children, Denise (Daniel) LeGrand, Phillip (Chris) Dominique, and Sue Ann Bigelow; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; brothers, Joseph, George, John and James Dominique; sisters, Katherine Buchanan, Josephine Adkins, Alice Dominique.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Avenue on Friday from 4:00-8:00 pm.. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 509 Oswald St., Toledo, where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Heartland Home Health and Hospice.
Visitation: Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Services: Saturday, 10:00 a.m.
Interment: St. Ignatius Cemetery
