Phonesavanh Viengmany, 55, of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He was well known by the nickname of Ponce or Poncho. He was born in Paksan, Laos on November 30, 1967 to Phay and Sanong (Chatulong) Viengmany. Ponce played football & attended Genoa High School in the 1980's and was a 1987 graduate of Libbey High School.

He was self employed for over 25 years doing what he loved as an upholsterer. He mainly worked on car interiors but there wasn't a job that he couldn't do and easily perfect. Ponce had a special charisma about him, and never struggled to make a new friend. He enjoyed telling stories, he had many stories about what life was like growing up in Laos. He was incredibly talented with a paint brush, some of his work even made it into The Toledo Blade. He was extremely passionate about the Great Outdoors. He had a great love for fishing & hunting almost as much as the love he had for his children.

Preceded in death; his brother, Navy & granddaughter Savanhna.

He is a survived by his parents, Phay and Sanong Viengmany; children, Alexander & Alyssa Viengmany; siblings, Samphanh (Tee), Sanhty (Maria), Nope and Ophat Viengmany. As well as many nieces & nephews, and great niece's & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Phonesavah memory are asked to consider planting a tree in his name.
