Obituary

Phyliss Jean Wagner, 83, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo, surrounded by her loving family. Phyliss was born on January 27, 1930 to Rollie and Ethel (Fisher) Bodi. Phyliss was the widow of Lewis E. (Whitey) Wagner, who co-founded the E.S. Wagner Company along with his father. Phyliss was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church and a past President of the Wynn School Mother'™s Club. She was active in the Spade and Trowel Garden Club, 4-H horse shows with her daughter, Stacey, as well as Ruth Circle at First St. John Lutheran Church. Surviving are her children, L. John (Alicia) Wagner, Susan J. (Sukhjit 'œSarge') Purewal, Peggy J. (Steven) Torda, Beth A. (David) Hodges, Stacey L. (Brian) Zwiebel; grandchildren, John C. (Alicia) Wagner, Kellie M. Torda, Justin D. Silcox, Andrew D. Hodges, Benjamin E. Hodges; and great granddaughter, Alivea J. Wagner; brother, Thomas Bodi; sister, Linda Stanley. Phyliss was preceded in death by her husband, Whitey; by her parents; and sister, Christine. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd, on Monday from 2-8. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Street, Toledo at 11:00. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Williston Cemetery.
