Phyllis Ann Brock, 100 years old, of Toledo, Ohio went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 27, 2019 at 9:22 AM. She was born at home on December 30, 1918, in Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of George and Mildred (Scott) Brock. Phyllis graduated from Lake High School and then attended Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky for two years. It was the end of the depression years so she decided to return home to help out with the family finances. She landed a job at the Bell Telephone Co, Toledo, OH. Still working at Bell she relocated to Berea, Cleveland, Ohio where she retired from Bell. In both Toledo and Cleveland, Phyllis worked with Jr. Church in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She loved seeing people accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Her passion was to be a very giving person to the church, missions and help her family financially. Every year Phyllis faithfully sent Christmas letters to ALL family members giving them a glimpse of her young years and fond memories of family. She always ended her letter with a great desire for her family to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and Wilbur; sisters, Elinor Solovieff, Ruth Walter, Grace Leslie and June Brueshaber; nephew, Stephen Walter; nieces, June Leslie-Szczerbiak, Diane Brock-Frye and Kathy Brock-Limpf. She is survived by brothers, Michael from Toledo, OH, and Randolph from Bangkok, Thailand; sister, Janice Baer from Johnstown, PA; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge and thank some very special friends to Aunt Phyllis. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 9:30 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, OH.
