Phyllis J. Buehler, 89, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2013 at Ridgewood Manor after a long illness. Phyllis was born on August 10, 1923 in Toledo, OH to Donald and Hazel Dubbs. She married Paul W. Buehler on June 10, 1949, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2003. Phyllis worked at the Sun Oil Co. during WWII. After her marriage she became a full time wife and homemaker for 20 years. She worked for the City Of Oregon for several years in various capacities after her children were grown. Phyllis was a life long member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and active in the Ruth Circle. She was a member of the Order Of Easter Star, Lotus Chapter. She served as past Chaplain Of Lotus Chapter #477. She served on the board of advisors Lotus Rainbow Assembly #20 and received the honor of Grand Cross Of Color. She was a long time member of the Women'™s Educational Club and Church Women United. She loved major league baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Roger and Neil Dubbs and grandson Joseph Paul Papp. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children William, John, Jean (Joseph) Papp, Peter (Tammy), Elaine (John) Crammond, 5 grand children and 2 great grandsons; sister Lana Gross and brother Marvin Dubbs; as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday January 15, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with Eastern Star services at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday January 16th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
