Phyllis Kristine (Kris) Farms, 81, loving mother, grandmother, and sister, formerly of East Toledo, passed peacefully, on Sunday, January 7th, 2024, in Solon, Ohio. Kris was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 14, 1942, to William Warren II and Kathryn (Upham) King who preceded her in death. She was a 1960 graduate from Clay High School. She studied at Mary Manse College in Toledo and graduated in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science Cum laude in Biology. Kris worked for University of Toledo Medical Center (Medical College of Ohio) for 35 years as a research biologist.

Kris, a member of Sacred Heart Church and choir, was an avid gardener, reader, and swimmer. Kris enjoyed trips to the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Zoo, countless trips to Crane Creek State Park to picnic and swim in Lake Erie, camping, and being outside. Kris loved spending time with her family, children, and grandchildren.

Kris is survived by loving children, Jon Howell, Cherie Howell (Peter), Jason Howell (Erika Karl), and Charlene Howell; grandchildren, Amelia, Sam, Casey, Alexander, and Delia; brother William Warren King III (Marilyn); sister Kathy Kelley (Mike).

Kris will be truly missed and will hold a place in our hearts forever.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Friday, January 19, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
