Phyllis G. Kohn, 78, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, went to join her husband, Wade, on July 8, 2008, in Heaven two days after his passing. Phyllis and Wade resided at Heartland of Waterville. She was born in Temperance, Michigan on September 2, 1930, to Lee and Donnah (Caswell) Tubbs. Phyllis enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She often was the neighborhood babysitter, whom the children loved dearly. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Tom) Kelsey; son, Wade L.(Tamela); sisters, Vivian Gibson, and Sharon (Jerry) Thomasson; brothers, Larry (Julie), Gary (Ann) and Chuck (Delores) Tubbs; grandsons, Wade (Kathy) Kohn, Tim (Cristy) Erard, Mark Kohn, Ken (Stacey) Erard, and Michael Kohn (Jodi); 6 great-grandchildren and several wonderful nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; son, Stephen Michael; sister, Marilyn Heer, infant sister, Donnalee, and granddaughter, Rebecca Kohn. Visitation and services for Phyllis and Wade were held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Lake Township Cemetery. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Piccadilly East Apartments Recreation Hall, 2750 Pickle Rd., Oregon, OH. Memorial contributions in Phyllis's name may be given to Heartland of Waterville or Heartland Hospice.
