Phyllis J. Shine, 76, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Phyllis was born February 13, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to William and Frances (Brown) Fishback. On July 31, 1965, she married John Shine. For 20 years, Phyllis worked as a registered nurse at St. Charles Hospital and worked an additional 22 years as a dialysis nurse, retiring in 2007. Phyllis enjoyed playing cards and dominos with friends. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 56 years, John; son, Michael (Virginia) Shine; grandson, Henry Michael Shine; and brother, Bruce Fishback. Preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Anne Fishback. Family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Monday, January 17, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 8:00pm. Funeral services Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment: Lake Township Cemetery.
