The family of Pixie Tscherne mourn her passing on Friday, December 20, 2013. She died peacefully in Hospice of Northwest Ohio after courageously battling diabetes and many other medical conditions for well over a decade. Pixie was born in 1946 to Bettejane Orosz. She attended Central Catholic High School where she met the love of her life, Mike. They married in 1965 and had a son the following year. Pixie continued her education, graduating from Mercy School of Nursing in 1973. Pixie loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time out in the sun, but during football season could be found supporting her favorite teams of Ohio State, Alabama, and Notre Dame. She even taught her German Shepherd, Zoee, to bark when her teams scored a touchdown. Pixie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Mike; son, Mick (Peggy) Tscherne; granddaughter, Shandi; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren and best friend Carol Surgo. Touchdown, Zoee! In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Louis Catholic Church Helping Hands. Heartfelt thanks from the Tscherne family goes out to the many people who contributed to mom'™s fantastic care at Bay Park Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
