Obituary

Pong Sun "Judy" Wright Skorich went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2005, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous and long battle with cancer. Pong was born outside of Seoul, South Korea on December 6, 1949. She was the first person in her family to immigrate to the United States in 1970. She became a citizen of the USA a few years later. Pong began Wrights Big & Tall and built it from the ground up in 1979. Throughout her lifetime, Pong provided top notch customer service and expert tailoring to her clientele frequently providing same day service upon request. Pong was a member of Hayes United Methodist Church in Northwood for nearly 30 years and then of Christ United Methodist Church in Oregon, when the two congregations merged. Pong enjoyed doing yard work and gardening. She had an amazing green thumb and lovingly cared for a wide variety of plants both inside and outside her home. Pong is survived by her loving husband, Dennis, and daughters, Lena (Bob), Phoenix, AZ and Tina (Paul), Toledo; stepsons, Andrew and Jacob; mother, Chun Cha Noh, Detroit, MI; sisters, Su Kum (Beang Ha Chang), South Korea, Sam Sun (Chang Ok Choe), Sylvania, Keang Hea (Chea Ho Kim), South Korea, Oim (Larry Weber), Jackson, MI; brothers, Dong Kil (Son Cha Noh), Columbia, SC, Hong Yul (Mee Sook Noh), Baden, PA, Seong Gan (Hyn Ron Noh), Columbia, SC and 11 nieces, 11 nephews, five grand nieces and five grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dea Su Noh who died in 1981. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Paul Schaefer and his staff as well as Bayview Oncology Associates especially nurses, Joyce and Dorothy. Additional thanks go to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Pastor Kurt Tomlinson and the congregation of Christ United Methodist Church. Wed also like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for making a difficult time slightly easier. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Northwest Ohio Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 5757 Starr Avenue Extension, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Although she was taken from us too soon, she will live on in our hearts and memories forever. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40 New King James Version 1982 Thomas Nelson Visitation: Visitation Times Wednesday, 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Millbury Chapel
