Priscilla Velez Welker, 65, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Welker was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 8, 1943, to Antonio and Lucy (Cruz) Velez. Surviving are her loving husband of 25 years, Mark Welker; daughters, Janice (Larry Taylor) Reilly; Gina (Marc) Vargo; son, Michael (Betty) Velez; sisters, Marguerite Jones, Marsha Rohn; grandchildren, Anthony, Alicia, Mollee, Marc Jr., Moriah, Rico and Josie; great-grandchildren, Ellianna, Damon and Savannah; best friend and mother-in-law, Judy Elekonich and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandchildren, Jon Joseph and Jenna Vargo. Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, June 4, 2009 in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Road, beginning at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation and interment will be private.
