Ralph DeFalco, 90, of Fort Meyers, Florida, formerly of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. He was born in Carey, Ohio on January 23, 1936 to Samuel and Antonette (DeFalco) DeFalco. Ralph graduated from Olney High School Class of 1953 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marines. He was a member of Local 55 Ironworkers Union for 70 yrs and spent 40 years with Henry Gurtzweiler before his retirement. He spent many years involved in the local government of Walbridge, Ohio spending many years on Walbridge City Counsel. Ralph earned a commercial pilot license in the 70's and enjoyed watching the weather channel, predicting the weather, and working crossword puzzles. He was also known as a jokester, if you were teased by Ralph you knew you were special. Above all, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Dawn DeFalco, Angelina (Craig) Recker, Michael (Danielle) DeFalco, Marissa DeFalco; siblings, Josephine Bonner, Rae (Gene) Updegraff, Vinnie (Mary Kay) DeFalco, Frank (Linda) DeFalco, Cathy (Bob) Spearing; grandchildren, Tyler, Logan and Lainey Recker. He was preceded in death by his parents; life partner of 21 years, Connie Ellis, sons, Ron and Darrell DeFalco, sisters, Rosella Obrock Roach (Luther, Herb), Pat (Don) Smothers and brother-in-law, Donald Bonner.
The family will greet friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, Ohio, 43447 on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 10:00 am until prayers at 12:30 p.m. We will then process to St. Jerome Catholic Church for mass at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
