Ralph H. "Moose" "Bill" Ralph H. Miller, 76, of Oregon, OH passed away Monday, May 28, 2007, at Orchard Villa. He was born in Toledo, OH on January 10, 1931, to Cyril and Matilda (Maule) Miller. Ralph grew up in Ironville and graduated from Waite High School in 1949, having played football and baseball there. He served his country in the Army from 1950-1953 in Alaska where he also played on the Army football team. Ralph married Marilyn Traver on October 1, 1960, and they had four sons. He retired from Interlake Iron in 1980 after 30 years of employment. He was a 40 year member of the American Legion Arthur Daly Post 334 where he served as commander; a member of 40 & 8 and a Toledo Umpire for over 31 years. He also was a 30 year member of St. Ignatius Church. Ralph enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing Euchre.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marilyn; sons, Larry (Amy), Dan (Teresa), Glenn (Dawn) and Dale; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, Donald (Jerry) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, from 2 until 9 p.m. where an Arthur Daly service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Ralph's memory may be sent to St. Ignatius Church or Odyssey Hospice, Maumee.
