Randall "Randy" L. York, 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 4, 1950 to Walter and Anna (Johnston) York. Randy graduated from Waite High School where he was a 1st Chair Violinist. His passion for music continued throughout his life. Randy worked as a supervisor for various Urethane Plants. He passed his love of music down to his beloved son, Grayson. Randy was a member of The Cheeks, who played at venues throughout the Toledo area. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family. Randy is survived by his son, Grayson (Samantha) York; grandson, Elliot; loving girlfriend, Jennifer Meszaros and her children, Steven Meszaros and Allison Irons; sister, Melanie (William) Nesper; and many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bradley York. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Children's Music Fund.
