Ray A. Wines, 72, of Northwood, OH, passed away on June 13, 2005, in his home. He was born on July 20, 1932, to Hub and Lenora (Corbett) Wines in Spencer, West Virginia. Ray was employed as a truck driver for 38 years, retiring from Roadway Express in 1998. He was a member of Riverview Yacht Club and also enjoyed airplanes. Surviving are his sons, John Sr. (Kathy) of Barberton, OH, and James (Laura) Wines of Northwood, OH; grandchildren, John Jr. (Ruth), Jason (Laura), Tanya (Scott) Wisniewski, and Kenneth Wines; great-grandchildren, Devin, Brianna, Alexis, and Hannah. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Elva; daughter, Cynthia Wines, and parents. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., with Riverview Yacht Club services conducted at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
