Raymond Edward Haack, 84, of Lady Lake, Florida and formerly of Toledo, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2005, in his home. Mr. Haack was born in Curtice, Ohio, on June 21, 1921, to Otto and Elsie (Kowalka) Haack. He was a graduate of Clay High School and Tri State University and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Ray was employed as credit manager for Daimler-Chrysler Corporation where he retired in 1985. He was also employed at Associate Investment Company for 22 years. Mr. Haack was a member of Barton Smith Masonic Lodge, Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine in Fort Wayne and American Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake. He was also a member of the Elks Club and member and past president of the Brookfield Wisconsin Kiwanis. As an active church member, Ray served on several Church Councils as president, vice president and treasurer.
Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia; daughters, Sondra (Fred) Stave of Patriot, IN, Bonnie (Richard) Ries of Rochester Hills, MI; grandchildren, Dwayne Platz, Audra Platz, Peter (Lisa) Ries, Matthew (Jennifer) Ries, Eric (Jana) Stave and Cheryl Stave; great-grandchildren, Noah Ries, Erica and Andrew Stave, Hannah Stave. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth O. Haack.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be follow in Allen Township Cemetery in Williston, OH. The family suggest memorial contributions in Raymond's memory be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Curtice, OH, Hope Lutheran Church in Lady Lake, Florida or the charity of the donor's choice.
